Adele breaks Taylor Swift's record with "Hello"
Last week when Grammy princess Adele dropped Hello, a single from her upcoming album, the world was thrown into a frenzy.
It had been three long years since the world heard anything from the queen of ballads. When she finally said "Hello" the world responded by watching the video of Adele's new song 27.7 million times in 24 hours.
Yes! Hello racked up 27.7 million views in it's first 24 hours on Vevo, knocking Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” which had 20.1 million views in its first 24 hours in May, out of the top spot.
“The song is about hurting someone’s feelings but it’s also about trying to stay in touch with myself, which sometimes can be a little bit hard to do. It’s about a yearning for the other side of me," said Adele in her first interview in three years.
According to The Verge, Taylor Swift's still holds a record with "Blank Space" being the most-viewed Vevo video of all time with more than 1.2 billion views.
But the world is just happy Adele is back.
Her new album titled "25" is set for release on November 20, 2015.
