PNP loses Brompton for first time since 1981
Withney Smith, the woman who quit her day job to run as councillor in her hometown of Brompton, St Elizabeth, has broken the People's National Party's dominance in the division.
The PNP had not lost Brompton since 1981.
Smith today polled 1,754 to beat Sandra White (PNP 1,401) for the seat.
Smith recently told THE STAR that she quit her marketing executive job to enter politics.
