Man found with $1 million worth of cocaine

A St. Elizabeth man was nabbed by the Narcotics Police for possession of $1 million worth of cocaine during an operation on the High Street main road on Wednesday.

Reports from the Narcotics Police are that about 6:00 p.m., they intercepted a Honda Civic motor car with a lone occupant aboard. The vehicle and occupant were searched. The search revealed a rectangular parcel with one kilogram of compressed cocaine.

The man, who was taken in custody will be interviewed in the presence of his attorney and is expected to be charged with possession of cocaine and dealing in cocaine.  The man’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations.

He is scheduled to appear before the Manchester Parish Court next Wednesday.
