Cocaine found in 'rum cream' ... British resident arrested following drug bust at airport
An interior decorator was arrested and charged by the narcotics police after he attempted to smuggle cocaine in rum cream and milk powder yesterday.
Charged with possession of, dealing in and taking steps to export cocaine is 42-year-old Garfield Fine of Richard Close Yardly, Birmingham, England and Lorna Avenue Meadowbrook, Kingston 19.
Reports are that Fine arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport and was about to board a flight destined for London when he aroused the suspicion of officers.
Following a search, a brown box containing two dark brown bottles labelled ‘Rum Cream’ was found with liquid cocaine.
The police also found bags of powdered milk containing 3.3 pounds of cocaine.
He is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Monday.
