Sentencing of Shortwood Teachers' College principal postponed
Despite a lengthy bail application by attorney KD Knight QC, principal of Shortwood Teachers' College Dr Christopher Clarke was again remanded when he appeared in the St Catherine Circuit Court this morning.
Dr Clarke was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving on February 20.
The deceased, Yvonne Brown of Spanish Town, who was hit from the motorcycle of she was a pillion.
Justice Vinette Graham-Allen told the defence that she had received a document showing that the Probation's Report was not ready.
Graham-Allen said that, Clarke would be remanded until March 7.
The prosecution led evidence that on March 14, 2014 about 6:45 p.m. Clarke was driving a Nissan SUV along Old Harbour Road.
After overtaking two motor cars, he reportedly slammed into a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.
Brown was thrown from the bike.
