Fake 'juror' held trying to give prisoner weed
A woman who allegedly attempted to pass about half-pound of ganja to her son, who is in custody accused of murder, has been arrested.
The woman was arrested at the Supreme Court building in downtown Kingston.
According to a police source, the 46-year-old woman was held with the ganja, 'grabber' and other paraphernalia.
She is expected to be questioned in the presence of her attorney before being charged with possession of ganja and attempting to introduce contraband.
According to police sources, the woman was able to get the contraband past the security checkpoint at the main entrance by claiming that she was a juror. Typically, jurors entering the building are not searched.
A check of the log book at the court entrance has revealed that the woman has attended court every day her son's case was mentioned, a police source revealed.
