Cops raid Back Road ... Some 33 persons warned for prosecution
Franklyn Henry, the 84-year-old Falmouth resident whose yard was being used as a sex shop, is now breathing a sigh of relief.
Police on Saturday night conducted a raid in the Back Road area of the town. Some 33 persons, 16 women and 17 men, were picked up and warned for prosecution.
"Action has been taken to relieve me of my misery," said Henry.
"In addition to the raid by the police, the Jamaica Public Service has installed a very bright light on the pole just outside my window. Now that the police have intervened, I hope they will now stay away."
Prostitutes and their clients were using a secluded spot under Henry's bedroom window as a sinful haven for their 'moaning' and 'groaning.'
And as if the sleepless night are not enough misery, Henry was forced to live with the stench of the urine deposited in his yard by his unwelcome guests.
"When the sun beats down on the urine and the condoms, the stench is unbearable," Henry told the WESTERN STAR last week.
"I cannot even open my window to enjoy the wind coming from the north."
