Double murder in St Catherine

June 14, 2017
Police use yellow tape to block off the entrance to the Kingston Mall in downtown Kingston during their investigation into a murder-suicide in 2016. A security guard had reportedly shot and killed his girlfriend at the scene before killing himself.

The St Catherine North police are investigating the fifth multiple murder in the division since the start of the year.

This after two unidentified males were found in a water canal this afternoon.

Reports are that about 2:45 p.m., residents near Bernard Lodge in an area called Cross Roads heard explosions.

The police were summoned and the bullet-riddled bodies were found.

Police said the double killing is the second in the vicinity within days as last week, two other males were shot in a drive-by at a nearby bridge while they were awaiting a taxi.

The latest murders bring to 66, the number of reported murder cases in the division, which is only surpassed by St James with over 120 homicides.

The St Catherine Major Crimes Division has launched a probe double murder.
