JCF denies 'sick' rumours

December 29, 2017

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is rejecting claims that over 6000 of its members have reported sick during their ongoing wage protest.

The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) of the JCF today stated that the figure, which has been circulating on social media, is incorrect.

The CCU said that the highest number of policemen and women who reported sick was 2,730 on Wednesday December 27.

The JCF also said the number of its members on sick leave continues to trend downward and stood at 1,712 today.
