British man held with weed at Sangster airport

Members of the Narcotics Division have charged a British national for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act following the seizure of three pounds of ganja at the Sansgter International Airport in Montego Bay, St James on Tuesday.

He is 60-year-old Glenton Morrison, painter of a London address in England.

Reports are that Morrison checked in to board a departing flight to London. During security checks, the ganja was found concealed on his person. The drug has an estimated street value of J$25, 000.

Morrison was charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and taking steps preparatory to export ganja.

He is scheduled to appear in the St James Parish Court on Friday.
