Himan Wally still blazing
Veteran entertainer Walter 'Hitman Wally' Nembhard is still blazing 20 years after he started.
His latest song is Caribbean Queen on the Goode rhythm. "This is a rhythm that has artistes like Powerman, George Nooks, Singing Melody. This makes me feels good," Hitman Wally said.
He said he is glad to see that the music industry is open to the lyrical contribution of all. "This makes me feel like I am still relevant to do my part, " he added.
The artiste, who hails from a rough Spanish Town community, said music means everything to him.
"I started out with sound systems such as Creation High Power, working beside Lieutenant Stitchie and Jonathan Wolfman and that has taught me a lot," Hitman Wally said.
He told The weekend Star that after moving away from the sound systems, he decided to do recordings. This, he said, has seen him touring locally and abroad. He said despite many challenges, he intends to remain in music.
