Fast and Furious cast honours Paul Walker on anniversary of his death
Yesterday marked two years since Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker died and fellow cast members are still mourning the action star.
Walker died on November 30, 2013, after a Porsche Carrera GT that he was riding in as a passenger lost control and crashed into a tree. The car burst into flames and both Walker and the driver, Roger Rodas, were pronounced dead on the scene.
Paul Walker played the role of Brian O'Connor and starred in all Fast and Furious films except the third installment, Tokyo Drift.
Tyrese Gibson who played a close friend of Walker's character, Roman Pearce took to Facebook to post his touching tribute.
"It's still not easy...... 2 years ago today... We lost our brother..... Today I'm just gonna lay low and process..... Clarity through Prayers and perspective is what I always seek and pray for.... With a heavy heart I post this..... Please continue to pray for the Walker family and his real friends who was with him every single day.... They're some of the best and strongest people I know...... I know you're in heaven smiling and rooting for us all..... #RIH ( Rest in heaven ) -," Gibson wrote.
Walker has always hailed Gibson as someone he shares a real friendship with, describing him as someone with a "big heart".
It is almost certain that Vin Diesel would not have allowed the day to end without making a post of his own. Diesel played Dominic Toretto, a brother-in-law to Walker's character.
"No matter where you are in this universe...You will always be, my brother," his simple tribute stated.
Diesel who recently fathered his third child, who he named Pauline in honour of his "brother", Paul.
Meanwhile, Jordana Brewster who played Brian O'Connor's girlfriend, Mia Toretto in the franchise, took to Instagram to share her sentiments.
"The largest part of his power was latent. This is that which we call Character,-a reserved force which acts directly by presence, and without means." -Ralph Waldo Emerson #paulwalkerforever," she posted along with a photograph of Walker.
Another actor Ludacris who is on vacation in Abu Dhabi found time to post a picture which bore the caption, "#gonebutneverforgotten."
Walker was 40 years old when he died. The film's eighth installment is scheduled to be released on April 14, 2017. While the last film, Furious 7 was dubbed "For Paul", Fast and Furious 8 will be dubbed, "From Paul".
