Anthony B scores two Number Ones
Rastafarian firebrand Anthony B is aggressively promoting the single, 'Bad Mind', the third from his latest album, 'Tears Of Luv'.
"Bad Mind is getting great rotation on SunCity Radio. Gary G is playing it and my street team will be approaching Wee Pow, Foota Hype and Boom Boom to push the song," he said.
The first single, Love Come Down, hit number one in Costa Rica. The second, Mau Mau Warrior, hit number one in Kenya.
The album, released last year, has cemented Anthony B status as a marquee reggae artiste with a gift for sing-a-long gems carved in reggae oak.
"The album has sold 6,000 physical copies, and that's a pretty good figure for a reggae album without a major label behind it. The album is distributed by Zojak Worldwide and has good placements on iTunes. The album is voted by fans as one of the best reggae albums in the last decade," he said.
Anthony B is booked to perform in Abidjan, the Ivory Coast, in Africa on April 6, and will return to the African continent to perform in Kenya at a charity concert on December 3.
He has a hectic tour schedule this year. He will perform in Birmingham and London on July 1 and 2, respectively.
Anthony B is also booked for the Reggae on the River festival in California in August, the Rhur Festival in Germany on August 5, and the Heineken Music Festival in Amsterdam on August 27.
"It's going to be a busy year," he said.
The Fire Pon Rome deejay is also working on a new rhythm project under his Born Fyah label, which will feature established and new acts.
