Following the relative success of his single, 'One T-Shirt', which features Vybz Kartel, recording artiste Jonnah has again turned heads with another controversial single, 'Phone Sex.'

An anthem for masturbation, the song toys with the topic of self-pleasure, which is usually frowned on by dancehall artistes. However, Jonnah says Phone Sex is a normal practice.

"This song reflects elements of dancehall music, and portrays how persons can spicy up their relationship. The title of the song says it all, a lot of persons will deny having this kind of activity over their phone with their partner, but it's perfectly normal. It's a part of today's society," Jonnah said.

Since it's release, Phone Sex has been creating a buzz on social media. The singjay hopes to get validation from the hardcore dancehall audience.

Not perturbed by the potential backlash from some fans of dancehall music, the singjay said female listeners have supported the lyrics. He added, however, that males are less likely to express themselves.

"This song speaks out for people who are sometimes afraid to express themselves freely. Some are going to love the song and others are going to dislike it. At the end of the day, this is the world we live in. The females seem to be taking on to the song and some even made videos of the song, and posted it on Facebook. It's a good look, and I'm feeling confident in this track," he said.

Jonnah and his outfit, All Connect Records are also promoting another single, Temporary Friend.
