Tanto, Devonte celebrates Billboard success
Veteran dancehall duo Tanto Metro and Devonte are celebrating Billboard chart success, this as a remake of their dancehall single, 'Everyone Falls In Love', released by rapper/singer Tory Lanez, has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 96.
The new version of the song is titled Luv, and sees Tory Lanez literally singing Tanto Metro and Devonte's chorus along with some new verses. The original dancehall instrumental was also remade using the similar cadence.
Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR, the duo said good music no longer gets played on local radio.
"Making good music is always a priority to us, we've maintained the standard no matter a hit or not, some how good music always prevails. Good music is still being made today they're just not been played, sad isn't it," said the duo.
Tanto Metro and Devonte also said negotiations for their writers credit in regards to Tory Lanez version of the record is underway.
"There are discussions still pending with writers credits. Acknowledging the fact that a piece of our craft has emerged once again on the Billboard Hot 100, knowing our creation was that infectious, it feels really good. We have gotten a few calls mainly concerning the covering of the hit single," they said.
