Jay Chrome wants spotlight with 'First Class'
Yaad Gand Records recording artiste Jay Chrome is in an upbeat mood as he prepares for the release of his single, 'First Class'.
"Well, the song First Class is about being on a natural high, whether someone is smoking or they are on a plane in the sky flying first-class. The reception I've been getting from the song is actually more than I expected. Once they hear the track being played, they start to sing along," the entertainer said.
First Class is currently in its infancy stage. However, the artiste believes that with strong marketing, the record can become a hit.
"I am confident that this song will help to put me in the spotlight. I plan to have First Class on every radio station, both in Jamaica and overseas. With hard work and dedication, that just might happen," he said.
The single is available for purchase on iTunes and all other leading Internet music stores. The artiste is also banking on the support of music lovers for the single's success.
Jay Chrome recently released a music video for First Class. While admitting that the video was produced with limited resources, he said that the quality is decent.
"There is a music video for the song. It was kinda low-budget, but came out good. It was directed by a friend, Dan Brown. I have also worked with him on other tracks like Role Play, Ride or Die and Wah Yuh Feel Like," he said.
In addition to promoting the new song, Jay Chrome wants unity among recording artistes.
"The industry is lacking unification. The point that I'm trying to stress is that we are more powerful as one. No matter if a Gaza, Gully, Unruly or Vendetta, we all should seh dancehall and reggae music. We are all Jamaicans, and if we put aside our differences and work together, we can dominate music. Wi full a talent and the world know that," he said.
