Gage and Cornelius end feud

January 13, 2017

While a new feud emerges in the dancehall space between Popcaan and Alkaline, popular record label Dutty Fridayz Promotion/Cornelius Records has settled its differences with dancehall artiste Gage for the new year.

According to Cornelius, who also broke Savage before their surprise fallout last year, Gage is a loyal artiste. However, every human makes mistakes.

"We saw that we made a good team because since leaving the label, nothing positive happened for his career. Gage is a good youth and wi nah mek good talent guh to waste ... as humans, everybody slip sometimes and put them left foot before dem right foot," he said.

Since their reunion, Gage and the label have already released a new song titled Clap, which has been receiving steady rotation.

"Clap is already doing well and several videos have gone viral, with females doing their own dance moves. We have a good chemistry as producer and artiste and I think we have a hit on our hands again," Cornelius said.

The producer also used the opportunity to throw a jab at Savage.

"Gage is more loyal than Gully Bop next-door neighbour and we are starting the new year on a new page," he said.

Gage, who is known for the controversial song Throat, confirmed the reunion, stating that the hatchet is buried.

"We good now, man. It is always a good vibes working with Dutty Fridayz and Cornelius Records," he said.

A video was also posted on social media showing Gage at the Dutty Fridayz recording studio, located at Constant Spring.
