Lisa Hyper reunites with MC Nuffy
Former Gaza artiste and protege of Vybz Kartel Lisa Hyper has rekindled her working relationship with former road manager MC Nuffy.
The artiste, who is known for songs like Trust, Bills and Message To Vybz Kartel, now plans to empower women with her music.
"Nuffy and I haven't worked together for four years, and we decided to link up recently after we did a show overseas and the people dem love the chemistry and energy that we have. From the people dem love it, why not? They have been wanting this and it's long overdue," she said.
Lisa Hyper also told THE WEEKEND STAR that she is more interested in doing social commentary music than the generic dance songs, which are now popular in the dancehall.
"I like to be different and dancehall is lacking a representative for the females, meaning somebody that speaks on their behalf. I am going to have controversial music, but I will be focused on speaking for females and giving them back that confidence," she said.
Lisa Hyper recently worked with Good Good Productions for the production of a new track titled Ratio.
The deejay is banking on the support of the dancehall fraternity highlighting that she is new and improved.
"Dancehall fans should support my music, because it gives women an outlet to express their feelings and share their passion with other," she said.
The deejay is currently in United States where she is executing a promotional run under the guidance of MC Nuffy, who recently left his job at a prominent radio station.
