Jah Fabio expanding his horizons
Contemporary dancehall knows no boundary and as such popular Mexican reggae artiste Jah Fabio, having carved a brand for himself in his native country, has broadened his horizon.
Riding high on the heels of his latest record Hot Tonight, the well-travelled entertainer is gradually becoming one of the pillars of the new wave of reggae artistes in Latin America.
The growing success of the single has propelled Jah Fabio to venture to Jamaica where he linked with fast rising dancehall artiste Tactikal and did a remix and also an accompanying music video.
Hah Fabio told THE STAR that Hot tonight did five weeks at number one on a radio chart in Chile and his team at Riddim Farm Music is seeking to spread the success here in Jamaica and worldwide.
According to the small-framed musician, his lyrics denote a great love for the family, as he is a carrier of positive messages, which are showcased in each song.
Jah Fabio said, "I try to make people who listen to my music across all borders know that no dream is impossible."
He told THE STAR that he has performed at several festivals in Cuba, Chile, Colombia, Peru and the US.
Having shared stages with dancehall and reggae heavyweights like Sizzla Kalonji, Anthony B, Beenie Man and Lady Saw, Jah Fabio say he has garnered much experience.
