Oliver, 'Maffy' to reunite after 15 years
Oliver Samuels and Volier 'Maffy' Johnson will return to the stage together for the first time in 15 years for a brand new play titled 'Frenemy'.
Come June 30, Jamaicans will again get the opportunity to witness the comedic duo in action as they take to the stage at the Jamaican Shopping Club Theatre at 6 Cargill Avenue.
The production is expected to run from Wednesdays to Fridays at 8:30 p.m. and twice on weekends, 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. 'Frenemy' will run until August 27.
'Frenemy' is a live play about two childhood friends who did everything together. It displays a friendship that has been tested on many occasions but one event will put their friendship to the ultimate test and will explore whether or not it's strong enough to survive.
Aside from Samuels and Johnson, the play also features veteran actors such as Audrey Reid and Dennis Titus.
Nostalgically timed for the celebration of Jamaica's 55th anniversary of its Independence, 'Frenemy' is being hailed as a welcome arrival to the local theatre scene.
