Thousands of patrons crammed into the Intown Super Centre in Santa Cruz last Sunday for the Guinness and Remy Martin Kool Out Sundayz 'summer kick-off' edition.

The event lived up to its billing as king of the dancehall Beenie Man and Ishawna put on a show for those in attendance.

By about 10 p.m., patrons were streaming into the venue to pick their spot for what was shaping up to be a night to remember.

THE STAR arrived in St Elizabeth shortly after 9 p.m. and the atmosphere was truly abuzz with pulsating music blazing from the speakers of Redd Heat sound.

DJ Hotta Rice and Big Pun had the crowd in a frenzy as they juggled foundation music mixed with some of the latest dancehall music.

Both the general section and the Remy Martin VIP area were crowded and comforting respectively throughout the event.

By 11:30 p.m., the blazing set from the selectors warmed up the audience, setting the stage for the night's performances.

Ishawna could do no wrong as she delivered songs from her catalogue to the amusement of the female patrons in particular.

The high point of her performance was when she did her controversial single Equal Rights.

Beenie Man was next up and wasted no time in delighting the jam-packed venue.

The phone lights and continuous screams and forwards around the venue were approval that his set was truly entertaining.

The next edition of Kool Out Sundayz is scheduled for August 27.
