JCDC Gospel Fest 'sell off'
The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's (JCDC) Gospel Fest in Old Harbour, St Catherine, gave patrons a night of wholesome entertainment.
Even at about 10 p.m. at the Gate Way Plaza on Emancipation Day, the ground was already transformed into a 'sea' of music lovers.
After the early praise and worship that saw patrons enjoying themselves, the best was yet to come.
About 10:45 p.m., rising gospel artiste Officer Mullings took the stage.
He started with Hallelujah Amen and segued into his young catalogue complemented by other established songs.
The audience was quickly transformed into a mass choir of dancing patrons, who soaked up all he offered.
He was well received by those who turned out for the night of clean entertainment.
"I really enjoy da policeman ya. Is mi area him come from and mi proud," Nadine Melbourne said. Sister Pat and Cukodu were also well received by the crowd.
The night's musical activities were brought to a satisfying end by Jabez who left them 'drinking from the saucer' of his repertoire.
It was the consensus that next year's instalment would be bigger and better.
