Govana plans to break boundaries with EP

August 22, 2017

Riding high with songs like No Complaining, Happy, Loco and his latest summer banger Gyal Clown, 4th Genna recording artiste Govana is wasting no time in upping the ante on his career.

Following an intense street campaign, the Spanish Town deejay is now back in the studio laying down a number of recordings for his upcoming debut EP. Still untitled, Govana says the initial idea was to release a mixtape for the summer, but based on the current momentum, the decision was taken by his management to upgrade the project to an EP.

Quizzed about details surrounding the EP, Govana, whose given name is Romeo Nelson, says he can't divulge much at this time, but promised a "respectable body of work.

"I am taking a multidimensional approach to the project, so it will consist of something for everyone, whether you're a corporate executive or a hard-core dancehall fan. I want my music to break boundaries and resonate with people from various sectors of society. So I definitely want this EP to be special."

Govana says a definitive date has not been set for the release, but as the weeks progress he will provide fans with more information.
