Tifa to blaze at Hot 97 show today
Billed for the annual Hot 97 on da Reggae and Soca Tip show which takes place today in Coney Island, New York, dancehall artiste Tifa has promised to represent for her fans.
Sharing stage with the likes of Sean Paul, Busy Signal, Charly Blacks, Kranium, Konshens, Rupee, Bunji Garlin, and Kevin Lyttle, Tifa said, "My performance will be high-energy and excitement. It's Labour Day weekend in the United States, so a large mass of Caribbean people will be out, including my fellow Jamaicans, so I get to represent for those abroad as well as the wider American crowd".
She spoke about being the only female on the line-up.
"I'm still in awe! This is major! It's one of, if not the biggest show this weekend in New York. It's gonna be held at Coney Island. It's a lot of pressure though, and I have to represent as the only female billed for the show," said Tifa.
Following her performance at the Hot 97 concert, Tifa is scheduled to perform at popular radio disc jock, DJ Norie's Anything Goes concert on tomorrow, also in New York.
Next Sunday, September 10, Tifa will perform in Philadelphia at a show billed as Bring It to the Owner (Shades of Summer) which will also feature Dexta Daps.
The event is promoted by Island Promotions in association with NME Entertainment.
On the music side, Tifa has been busy putting out new material. Her recent collaboration Ride Up with newcomer Khalia has been remixed by Pink Panda, and was released last Friday.
She also has songs coming out produced by TJ Records, DJ Frass, ZJ Chrome, Kurt Riley, ZJ Nova and Dutty Dex among others.
Tifa also recently renewed her endorsement with Bigga. It is her fourth year representing for the Wisynco-distributed brand.
