DeeWunn eyes hit with Ribbibunx
Jamaican MC and songwriter DeeWunn has teamed up with Canadian label Rebel Vibez, a label spearheaded by Canadian reggae advocate, Carrie Mullings, and up-andcoming female composer Renee Brown of Black Orchid Music for his new record, 'Ribbibunx'.
"I have high expectations of this track. It gives off an authentic dancehall vibe but you can hear the new age flow infused with it. My fans all over the world are already pushing this track, I am grateful," said DeeWunn.
He said since the song's media release, dancers and fans have already begun making viral videos.
"Jamaican dance crew, Edhaadie from Bog Walk, St Catherine, created an official move for the song, which is currently making rounds on social media. The reception thus far has been tremendous," he continued.
Both the single and video for Ribbibunx are now available for streaming on all major outlets.
The new release is the artiste's first single since his debut album Bunx Up, which was released late last year and featured viral hit Mek It Bunx Up.
Produced by Kunley McCarthy of Ward 21, the album did very well on the international market and highlighted other tracks such as In The Ghetto, Highgrade, White Rum (featuring Marcy Chin and Sly Rankin), Get Vex (featuring Timberlee) and Gimmie 60 (featuring Natalie Storm).
Recently returning to Jamaica from his five-week Germany tour, DeeWunn has been spending time in his native country recording for some of dancehall's top producers and prepping for his promotional media tour spearheaded by PR company, MIA Production, and his management team at RAW Media.
While on tour in Germany, DeeWunn headlined a few shows, while co-headlining two shows with diamond-selling artiste Charly Black.
