Talk Up Yout premieres tomorrow
Season Seven of Talk Up Yout premieres tomorrow at 6 p.m. on Television Jamaica (TVJ). The show, produced by Stanley & Empress, will feature a brand, new cast of young people between the ages of 15 and 25 who will speak on hot topics such as high school rules, Jamaican masculinity, and tertiary education.
Talk Up Yout will also be featuring the creative genius of young Jamaican dub poets performing culturally relevant poetic commentary on the topics each week.
Season seven will run from Wednesday to late November. The highlight of the season is expected to be the powerful, engaging weekly episodes, which are aired every Wednesday at 6 p.m. The episodes are repeated every Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
Talk Up Yout, which is sponsored by the National Baking Company and CranWATA, has acquired a reputation for being the youth-preferred platform for discussing youth-relevant social issues and collaborating to find solutions.
The organisers said that close to 500 Jamaican young people auditioned to participate in this season's shows.
