Kashu, Hype Type want to 'Beat Dem Bad'
Dancehall artiste Kashu has teamed up with Florida-based deejay Hype Type to record a new single titled 'Beat Dem Bad'.
The song, which was produced by the Florida-based label Arkitechz Production on the 'White Rum' rhythm, was released on September 27.
According to Hype Type, Beat Dem Bad is currently enjoying high rotation Stateside, and he is now putting things in motion to launch a full-scale promotional campaign in Jamaica.
"I'm pleased with the support that this song is getting in Florida and other parts of the US. Now that it is released, I'm going to start to push it at home. My team and I are leaving no stones unturned [because] we want to make it a massive hit," said Hype Type.
Kashu, formerly known as Kashu Man, also added, "This song has the potential to be a major hit. Since I returned to the island, I have been pushing it hard in the streets, and it's getting a lot of support from DJs and selectors all over Clarendon and Kingston."
Beat Dem Bad is available on iTunes and several other leading online music platforms, including Amazon and Spotify.
Kashu Man (Darren Williams) launched his career in 2001 by winning the nationally televised Reggae Trail competition. Interestingly, Hype Type (Joseph Henry) was also a finalist in the Reggae Trail competition that same year.
