Major Lazer's Walshy Fire

Popeye Caution is a Caribbean vibes dealer and lyricist extraordinaire who has teamed up with Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, and South Florida producer, Izy Beats, for WORK.

WORK is a multi-genre record that is packed with heavy dancehall, latin, hip-hop and soca elements; all fused together by Izy Beats and Walshy Fire.

According to Walshy Fire, "This is a multipurpose song that will have people of all nations and walks of life dancing, get used to this record".

Popeye Caution is coming off a summer of touring with international DJ, Fight Clvb, to promote his Moombahton-inspired record, Control.

Popeye Caution, whose real name is Marlon Reid, was born in Hughenden in St Andrew. His popularity grew organically from being a socialite in the electric dance scene of South Florida. He was founder of the dance crew, Caution, which is considered one of the most well-known underground dancehall and hip-hop crews. The dance element allowed him to showcase his dancing skills on a large scale. He was featured in many videos, including Trina's, Long Heel Red Bottom, and toured with Elephant Man, Mavado, Beenie Man, and others.

His journey as an artiste started in 2010 with the release of acclaimed single, Shoes Off, which became one of the top "riddims" in the reggae dancehall world. It gained the attention of some of the biggest reggae artistes like Mr Vegas, I-Octane and Elephant Man, who all made remixes of the song. Popeye has travelled and performed throughout Florida, Nevada, California, New York, Jamaica, Barbados, Canada, UK, Guyana, Haiti and the Cayman Islands.

Popeye Caution is optimistic that his new singles like, Work, Bend OVA, Vans and Control, will soon climb the dancehall and pop charts.
