Quata Blann inspired by his love for music
Despite the challenges that he has faced trying to get his voice heard on a global scale, newcomer Quata Blann believes his love for music has inspired and motivated him to continue the journey.
The dancehall artiste, who is from Clarendon, is currently promoting two songs, Anything and Wifey.
"My journey has been hard and complicated, as in to get accepted by the fans, but at the same time it has been enjoyable. Because of the love I have for music, I will not complain," Quata Blann said.
Quata Blann made his recording debut more than 10 years ago when he recorded Every Gal for the late Patrick 'Roach' Samuels. Since then, the artiste, whose real name is Shawn Cheddon, has continued his pursuit for musical excellence.
"I started doing music professionally in 2007. What makes me stand out is the fact that I am bringing new topics, flows and a new sound. I will definitely try my best to keep it up," he said.
Anything, which was released a few months ago, is accompanied by a music video. It is reportedly gaining traction in markets outside of Jamaica, specifically in Africa.
The song Wifey was released a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Quata Blann is currently working with Ying Yang Records, Show Di Vybz Records and Team Toxic Entertainment. He recently recorded a collaboration, titled Bruka, with St James-based recording artiste Chilando.
Ready to take his career to the next level in 2018, Quata Blann is working hard in the studio on new material.
