Popcaan gets unruly in Faawud clash
Music blasting, insect-spray torches blazing, and non-stop dancing was the mood inside Unruly Squid's party, Faawud, last Saturday night.
Space was a precious commodity inside the St Lucia car park in New Kingston for those who attended the party.
The moderate crowd which was seen 12:45 p.m. was nothing compared to the influx of persons at nearly 2 a.m.
The bar crew was kept busy as the orders kept coming, and more and more drink tables were being brought out.
As packed as the venue was, patrons had enough space to drink without spilling, dance, and Snapchat their enjoyment.
X-Factor Sound built and maintained the high-energy pace of the party before passing the baton to Bishop Escobar who continued the same vibes.
Chromatic, the last sound on the line-up, kept the party going until the main event for the night the touted clash between Chromatic and the Unruly Sound led by dancehall artiste Popcaan.
For the first time in Jamaica, Popcaan showed his skills as clash selector as he and JR from Chromatic exchanged verbal attacks coupled with a barrage of 'badman' dancehall songs in true dancehall style.
All phones were on record to capture the moment until the half-hour war ended at almost 5 a.m.
