J'can reality star plays lead role in Jah Cure's video
Fresh off her first season of VH1's popular 'Love & Hip Hop' franchise, Jamaica-born actress and model Gabrielle Davis is once again bringing her style and spunk to the camera - this time for reggae superstar Jah Cure's latest video shoot for his Troyton Music-produced single So Cold.
The video, which was directed by Chris 'Icey Jace' Campbell, was shot on location in Jamaica and features stellar acting from both Jah Cure and Davis.
According to Davis, 'Love & Hip Hop Miami' was a great launching pad for her acting career and an unforgettable experience.
"It was an overall great experience for me. I learnt a lot, based on the fact that I had never done reality TV before. There was a lot of drama, a lot of impromptu acting in the mix, but I had fun with it, and it's definitely something I would do again," she said.
Over the weekend, Davis had her hands busy as one of the guest presenters at the 2018 Youth View Awards, held at the National Indoor Sports Centre in St Andrew. She also hinted at a role in an upcoming film set to be shot in Jamaica.
"Right now I've enrolled in an online acting class because I want to focus on my acting. I just landed a role in a Jamaican film, which will be shown locally and internationally. I am also seeking to build the brand Gabrielle Davis across the Caribbean and possibly land some campaigns in the other islands," the actress said.
Davis, who is no stranger to the music industry, has made appearances in several mainstream music videos for Snoop Dogg, Russ and hip hop star Future.
