His EP, 'Can't Stop Me Now', was launched recently, and Singer J said it is part of his journey that started many years ago.

"I am very thankful for the support tonight. It's a wonderful feeling because I have been doing music for several years. This EP is like an opening door for me, and thanks to Frenz For Real, Benji and the team, this has become a reality," he said at the launch of the EP at 100 Hope Road in St Andrew last week Monday.

The launch was attended by several media and music industry personnel who were out in their numbers to support an emotional Singer J, who was very grateful for the turnout.

For the past three years, Singer J has formed a close working relationship with the Tower Hill-based Frenz For Real label, an association that has reaped results.

"I decided not to sit down and wait on anyone. I formed a team and decided to make this happen. I've been doing music from the days of Cactus Nightclub. It has been a long journey. But I want to just do music, conscious music, music that the people can relate to," he said.

The EP has five tracks Call Me, Caribbean Lights, Having a Party and All of Me, as well as the title track which was added as a bonus cut.

Among the producers who contributed to the project are Ainsworth 'Big A' Higgins of Irie FM, Omar 'Benji' Benjamin, Oneil Graham, Ricardo Reid and Omar Lattibeaudiere.

Nicholas Bennett, Howard Vassell, Jovainne Murdock and Dwight Christopher Allen are among the songwriters.

Dancehall artiste Vershon, who was also in attendance at the launch, said showing support to Singer J was important to him.

"We have to share the love because music nuh sleep a nobody yard, and Singer J a mi bredda apart from music. We just deh ya fi give support," he said.
