John-Marc Lucid releases two music videos
Texas-based singer John-Marc Lucid has released music videos for two of his current songs 'Muy Bonita' and 'Judas'.
Judas, which was produced by Jamaica-based Slik Rrymez, is a collaboration with reggae artiste Fyah Sthar. Muy Bonita, which means 'very pretty', is a dancehall-influenced track produced by Juan Yanez.
Both videos were shot in Texas.
Lucid took on the role of director for Muy Bonita, and he said the video encourages women to show off their bodies.
"The video basically portrays a model posing and flaunting as the song suggests. So basically, the song is saying, you've got it so why don't you flaunt it," he said.
As for Judas, he said the song and its accompanying music video were inspired by real-life events.
"My friend was telling me how disturbed he was by a former band member who was disloyal, and he referred to him as Judas. I found it funny, but appropriate. We refer to these shady, disloyal 'friends' as Judas," said Lucid.
"The song itself was inspired by a couple of incidents, one of which was a longtime close friend, who is also a musical partner, that crossed me and flexed truly disloyal. So, instead of just feeling down about it, I ended up writing my first verse for Judas."
John-Marc's other releases include Revolution with Fantan Mojah, and Believe It, featuring Turbulence and Mamacita.
