Romain Virgo to perform at MoBay airport
In anticipation of his upcoming album 'LoveSick' which is due out on March 30, and a UK tour beginning next week, VP Records artiste Romain Virgo will be doing special pop-up performances at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, on Sunday.
The performances will be held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the pre-security in the check-in area with the main performance being at the main terminal, post security. Travellers are encouraged to come early to see both performances.
"MBJ Airports Limited (MBJ) is very pleased that Romain and team will do a performance for passengers and are excited as this is the first of its kind to be done at the airport," said Sharon Hislop, commercial and marketing manager of MBJ Airports.
"This partnership forms part of MBJ's new vision of creating an 'Irie Airport' experience for passengers to indulge in our vibrant culture as they traverse our airport. Songs from Romain Virgo and other reggae artistes welcome passengers on arrivals, so it is great to have an actual performance in the terminal for passengers and other airport users to enjoy."
The album may also be purchased at the Tuff Gong Trading Store inside the departure area at the Sangster International Airport.
Meanwhile, the European tour will include stops in Germany, UK, Holland, and Switzerland. Virgo will be setting up US dates later this year.
