Big Wall party stood tall after Road March
After revellers marched around the Corporate Area on Carnival Sunday, Big Wall at West Kings House Road took those who paraded on the streets and those who just came for the party to even higher heights with a stellar entertainment package.
Some of Jamaica finest deejays served up a perfectly proportioned mixture of hip hop, Afrobeat, soca and dancehall music, which had the crowd roaring in approval and dancing.
Selector Renegade delivered a set that included some of the this year's biggest soca songs and those that were made popular in previous carnivals.
Chromatic Live played a slew of a songs that had the women expressing themselves through their body movements; songs such as Dovey Magnum's Bawl Out, Popcaan's My Type and Vybz Kartel's Pretty Position sat well with them.
Coppershot kept the intensity going, and pandemonium erupted when they teased Govana's Bake Beans.
And it was like a mini album launch when Chi Ching Ching made a surprise appearance on stage, along with a group of dancers, to teach the audience how to 'Rope', while singing a few lines from the song before disappearing into crowd.
Then DJ Nicco continued to play a few of his tracks, including Breadfruit and Rock Di Worl, which had patrons swaying.
Though slated to end at 10 p.m., at minutes to 11, patrons were still inside the venue singing and dancing as if the party had just started.
