Marley film in the making
Bob Marley's eldest son, Ziggy Marley, has teamed up with Paramount Pictures to develop a biopic about the late reggae legend.
According to information garnered from Billboard.com, the movie will focus on the life story of the global music icon.
The film is still in its planning stages and so there is very little information available to the public so far, including a possible release date.
Since the announcement was made, however, there has been a growing interest in the project, particularly who will play the icon when filming starts.
Marley's life story has been told numerous times in documentaries, including one done in 2012 by British director Kevin Macdonald titled Marley.
Marley died in 1981 of cancer at age 36. He shot to fame in the 1970s and to date has one of the most extensive catalogues of songs from a reggae artiste.
His album Exodus is still a big international seller and to date has sold more than 75 million copies worldwide.
