NARCOS Live to hit several parishes
A live performance showcase is set to invade several parishes over the next few months.
Dubbed NARCOS Live, the series has emerged out of the inaugural staging of NARCOS on March 2, in Ocho Rios.
“We have a long-term plan to provide quality entertainment and party experiences island wide going forward. We intend to invest heavily in Jamaica’s entertainment landscape and provide quality entertainment experiences to local and international consumers of our reggae and dancehall culture,” explained Travis Graham, spokesperson for M.O.T. Events, promoters of NARCOS.
Details haven’t been divulged, since the event is in its embryonic stage. But it is understood that veteran and current reggae and dancehall acts will comprise the line-up of the live shows.
The recent staging of NARCOS: The Ballers and Divas Episode, attracted a large crowd at the Ocean Village parking lot in Ocho Rios.
Patrons were treated to eclectic performances from Munga Honorable, Deep Jahi, Teejay, and rising dancehall artiste Shakespear.
“This our first staging of NARCOS was very successful. The feedback from patrons online and in the street is that we delivered everything that we promised, which was great entertainment experience and high-quality production,” said Graham.
Wurl Fresh, DJ Ashile, DJ Brammaz, Rolexx, and Bishop Escobar were among the disc jocks who kept patrons busy with their arsenal of musical bombs.
“We are grateful to have had a crowd of almost 2,000 patrons, when we were anticipating about 1,500. We also got some support from persons outside of the parish and we’re really happy for the support,” said Graham.
