From artiste manager to label owner - Donavon Edwards launches Croucks Records
Emerging producer Donavon Edwards says he is ready to make his mark in music production.
Edwards has spent a majority of his life in the entertainment circle as road and talent manager to many artistes.
Croucks Records, a newly established music house, is his imprint, and although fresh in production, his years of work in engineering and artiste grooming was the compelling reason to launch his label.
He told THE WEEKEND STAR, "We just a do the right thing and launch the music. If you love something and devote so much time to it, you may as well invest. I encourage everyone to make that step, find a niche and develop it."
Edwards, widely known as 'Jubbie Croucks', has been on the road with entertainers, including Squash, Daddy1, Chronic Law, Tactikal and Canada-based artiste Squick Don.
A past student of Calabar High School, Edwards said he has always known that music was his calling.
His label is currently working on the Coast Line and Swamp Life riddims, which he believes will take the industry by storm.
"Right now, it safe to say some of my connects in Barbados and Trinidad jus a wait for the things dem to drop. I am excited, and mi just want put the game on notice that Croucks Records is ready to unleash good music," he said.
