Elephant Man’s ‘Find It’ competition winner selected
Distinction College dance group Young Blood, led by Prince Green, was the winner of the Find It competition hosted by international dancehall artiste Elephant Man and Downsound Records (DSR).
The US$1,000 prize money was handed over last Wednesday. The competition was hosted exclusively for schools.
Students were given the opportunity to create a unique, choreographed video for the deejay's single Find It. The winner was selected based on the video entry with the most views.
Young Blood won with 41,125 views on @Prince_young_blood on Instagram.
The presentation was made by the entertainer and representatives of DSR/BadCompany team at the Hagley Park Road branch of the college. The team also did a short performance for the students.
"It was a pleasure hosting this competition for the youths. A lot of schools participated but only one winner could have been selected," said Elephant Man.
The deejay, who is currently promoting his other new single, Skankers, said that he is still focused on bringing back unity in dancehall.
He heads to Europe for a three-week stint and has just wrapped shooting the music video for Skankers.
