Popcaan’s ‘Survivor’ captures the hearts of fans
Top-ranking dancehall artiste Popcaan, recently enlisted by Terror Family Production for the thought-provoking single Survivor, has once again joined forces with the production outfit.
Courtney 'Stamma T' Samuels and Mark Lawrence are the architects behind Survivor which has been trending on YouTube and several other streaming platforms for the past two weeks. The song is steadily finding its way on to the playlist of some very noteworthy media outlets throughout the region and North America, including Sean 'Diddy' Combs' REVOLT TV.
The success of Survivor has led to the fast-tracking of the EP titled Solid Focus Riddim. Unlike other projects, this compilation exclusively features members of Popcaan's Unruly Entertainment camp. Aside from the Unruly Boss himself, the other acts are Zamunda with Preserve My Life, Furnace with Unafraid Life, and Valiant with Poverty Get A Way.
Terror Family Production is very optimistic that the complete project can attain the same level of success.
"The success of Survivor is very encouraging and I'm confident the Solid Focus Riddim EP will undeniably become a favourite globally. There is something special about each track, all the artistes were on the same frequency during the studio session. Survivor has already captured the hearts of fans and we remain hopeful this will carry over to the rest of the project," Samuels said.
Lawrence chimed in, stating that as part of the ongoing campaign to achieve the forecasted success, they will be exploring numerous promotional strategies, starting with the release of lyric videos to accompany the songs.
"We are aware that the other members of the Unruly Entertainment camp are not as established as Popcaan, nonetheless the quality of their music is top-notch and that is what we are banking on. Hence, the reason we are employing different strategies, starting with the roll-out of the lyric videos," he said.
The four-track EP is distributed by EMPIRE, the international distribution outlet that recently inked a deal with Terror Family Production as part of a continued thrust to support the reggae and dancehall genres.
