How long have you been saved? I have been saved for 52 years.

How did you get your conviction? I started walking with the Lord at the tender age of eight. I decided to follow Him when I recognised the urgency of His eminent coming. I wanted to be saved. I was baptised at that tender age and received the Holy Spirit at that same age.

What has been your most challenging moment? I have had many obstacles. The walk with Christ takes determination, a made-up mind like that of Paul the Apostle. Neither height nor depth, nor any creature shall be able to separate me from the love of God. Always pressing towards the mark for the higher calling in Christ Jesus.

What has been your most miraculous moment? I was in an accident and spent three months in a coma, which saw me spending almost two months in the Kingston Public Hospital. Doctors pronounced me dead.

However, the church prayed and I got a chance to be in a wheelchair for months. I believed that, by God's stripes, I would have been healed. I claimed my healing after realising that I was unable to walk.

One day I got up and decided, by faith, that I was going to walk again. I taught myself to walk. God did it again! My Balm in Gilead healed, delivered and made the lame walk. Surely, He strengthened my bones and gave my feet life. Today I am a living testimony, because I was in a wheelchair and on crutch for nine months.

Message to Christians: Never lose sight of God. Irrespective of problems faced or accolades gained, let nothing distract you from serving God. What doesn't kill you will only make you strong, and God's favour is more precious than life. He is the best friend to have in this world of economic crisis and social degradation.

Message to non-Christians: Now is the day of salvation. Signs are fulfilling that His coming is closer than we think. Life is uncertain, but death is certain and inevitable.

Make sure that you have a haven safe and secure in God. He is the only source for contentment, happiness, satisfaction and peace of mind.

Favourite Bible scripture: 2 Corinthians 5: 19

Favourite chorus: 'It is alright, as long as I have the Lord beside me it is alright.'
