Don Andre cruises to BritJam
United Kingdom (UK)-based dancehall artiste-dancer Don Andre is celebrating the success of his hit dance record 'Tom Cruise'.
The artiste who teamed up with fellow artistes-dancers Chi Ching Ching and Ding Dong for the remix of Tom Cruise, is booked to perform at BritJam's Fantasy Island tonight, and he says that the occasion promises to be exciting.
Since its release in 2015, the popular dance song has climbed several local charts and is a favourite in dancehall circles. Several viral dance videos of persons doing the dance have also surfaced on social media in recent times.
"I feel really excited about this event in particular. It embraces the best of both worlds for me. As a British-Jamaican, it's an honour to be part of this spring break phenomenon that brings so many UK people to party on the island. A large number of my British followers have already flown in for this. On top of that, with the excitement that's going on with the Tom Cruise dance is spreading, you know. It's going to be epic," Don Andre said.
Don Andre's publicist, Keona Williams, also told Dancers Paradise that she was pleased with the progress of the dance record.
"It's amazing to see how the song has grown on the audience. We started promotions in UK, and finally, Jamaicans have taken on to the dance like we wanted them to. My phone has been blowing up with videos of persons doing the dance, and I can assure you that persons turning out to BritJam are in for an entertaining set filled with dancing tonight," Williams said.
