Rotary Club donates $750,000 to Alpha Institute

Sandra Samuels-Reid, president of the Rotary Club of St Andrew North, and members of the Rotary Club, donated $403,765.00 in cash and $350,000 in kind to the Alpha Institute recently.

The cash contribution goes towards setting up equipment as well as towards the on-going needs of the Barbering Trade Programme.

Samuels-Reid who owns and operates Totally Male, has a special interest in the development of at-risk youth, especially boys who are interested in learning a skill. Donations include barbering equipment, 100 entrepreneurial skills books and seven computers for the professional skills training programme at the Institute. The computers were donated by Carlton Cowell of One Stop Computer Shop.
