The Maggi Mobile Road Show and Fortune Wheel Promotion made stop number five at Rexo Supermarket in Ocho Rios on Saturday, leaving scores of customers happy.

Several persons won prizes by spinning the wheel, with one lucky patron winning the weekly main prize of a stove, a pressure cooker and cooler.

The event was broadcast live on Mello FM with Barry G, DJ Dr Love and the crew, with nutrition advisor, Nestle and Maggi, Nordett Morrison, sharing MC duties with the Boogieman for the afternoon.

Required Purchase

Phyllis Rerrie of Eltham was one of several winners on the spin the wheel, picking up a package of Nestle goodies.

"I won a Maggi package with Maggi soup, Nesquik, the works," she said.

Rerrie got a chance to spin the wheel after making the required purchase of six Maggi seasonings and two Maggi soups.
She is a fan of Maggi, she admitted.

"I buy Maggi every week," she said laughing. "What I like is that the products are unique. With the Maggi soup i can just put it in the water, boil it up, have it myself or give my grandkids."

Merchandiser at Rexo Supermarket Tamoya Anderson said the promotion caused the products to move swiftly on Saturday despite the rain.

"It's really tremendous the way the products are moving," Anderson said.

"People are flocking this promotion and they want to win the stove, they want to win the pressure coooker, they want to win everything so they're trying everything they possibly can to be part of it."

Curtis Myrie, whose company, Ideal Promotion, is promoting the event, said the series has scheduled 15 stops across Jamaica from May 7 to August 20.
"What's unique is that we're offering instant prizes and a grand prize on the same day," Myrie told THE STAR.

Apart from getting the opportunity to win prizes, customers were treated to soup samples and demonstrations by the Maggi mobile kitchen, with chefs Curtis Robinson and Johnoy Bryan. The mobile kitchen offered recipes of affordable and nutritious one-pot meals for the whole family.

The Maggi road show will roll into the B-Park Supermarket, Brown's Town, St. Ann, on Saturday.
