On Saturday, Maggi 'loyalist' Barbara Timoll was over the moon as she couldn't believe she had got something she had been longing for all along: a stove.

After purchasing her usual Maggi products at National Wholesale in May Pen, Clarendon, spinning the wheel, and receiving her 'instant prize', she made her way back home to Palmer's Cross in the parish.

At 6:31, after Mello FM's Barry G drew her name out of the box, she got the phone call. But maybe Timoll thought it was too good to be true as Nordett Morrison, nutrition adviser for NestlE, teased, "You don't sound like you want this prize. Should I give it away?"

It was only then that she managed to inject some enthusiasm into her voice.

After returning to collect her Maggi Fortune combo prize - a stove, a pressure cooker, and a large cooler, Timoll was overjoyed.

"I feel wonderful! I've been waiting on this moment all my life. It is something I needed a long time ago," she told THE STAR.

Another customer whose day was made by Maggi was Indiana Henry. She spun the wheel and earned herself a prize, which she had been yearning for all along: a pot.

"Mi did well want a size pot like this. I am really happy," she told THE STAR.

"I was going after it from before I spin the wheel. I was saying, 'I need this pot. I wonder if I am going to win it," Henry said.

A regular Maggi customer, Henry said she didn't need the lure of a prize to buy the products, but it was the icing on the cake for her.

Maggi is making 16 stops across the island, using the Maggi Mobile Road Show and Fortune Wheel Promotion to reward its customers.

The next stop for the promotion will be on Saturday in Papine Square, St Andrew.
