WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

J.C Hutchinson has been the Member of Parliament for North West St Elizabeth, where New market falls, since 1997.

WHAT WILL BE DONE?

The National Works Agency (NWA) said that the road is among 25 which will be fixed under the Major Infrastructure Development Programme this year.

The Government collects about $31 in taxes on every litre of 87 octane gasolene at an expected ex-refinery price of $100 per litre.

ABOUT NEW MARKET

A predominantly farming community, New Market is perhaps best known for the infamous flooding which, in 1979 and 2002 left sections of the community under water.
