Do you believe that the closure of the Long Pond Sugar Factory has crippled life in Clark's Town?

Calvin Seivwright

"Even before Long Pond closed down, things were not great here in Clark's Town. However, the closure of the factory has made matters worse. It has badly affected the economics of the town."

Cynthia Stevens

"The folks here in this community used to depend on the factory, and now that it is closed, the money has dried up."

Hector James

"Long Pond is the 'keeping up' of Clark's Town community ... we have no where else to go for work. The bank is not here again, and eventually, the market will close."

Joyce Moodie

"From the factory closed, things have gone flat. The people don't have any money to come into the market because they are not working. We don't have a bank or a Western Union here. Long Pond was sufficing us. Clark's Town has almost become a ghost town."

Hyacinth Kerr

"Long Pond was the source for places like the market. When Long Pond was open, the people used to have money to spend to boost the economy of the town. Since the factory closed down and the bank closed down, things are real bad."
