Christmas has not been the same for Enrico Harmond and siblings for the past four years as he has been without his mother, Marsha Sawyers.

The 50-year-old went missing from Pleasant Valley in Red Hills, St Andrew, on October 21, 2011, and life without her has been painful and empty ever since.

"While many persons look forward to enjoy Christmas with family, we are unable to do so, as my mother is missing and the sadness lingers, " Enrico Harmond said.

Harmond said each time Christmas draws near, the hurt increases, as their mother would start her preparation for the holiday season.

He told THE STAR that his last memory of his mother was one of maternal love.

"Despite several pictures being posted and extensive searches, nothing has been revealed. This is sad; it would be a great Christmas to have her back or just to bring closure to the hurt, " Enrico said.

Enrico, who works with the Ministry of Justice, said that while the two adult children are affected, their 14-year-old sister has taken the problem the hardest.

"Even the other morning, she was reacting sadly to the memories of our mother. This worsens at Christmas time, as she was all that a family could have," Harmond said.

He said that the matter has been reported to the police and it is being treated as a missing-person case.

When contacted, a lawman at the Red Hills Police Station confirmed that the matter was still being investigated.
