9 months' for clothes thief
A man who is said to have held up another, stealing the clothing off his back, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court recently.
Charged with robbery with aggravation is Jason Bissick.
The Crown alleged that on the day of the incident, the accused man reportedly robbed the male complainant who was walking along a section of Trafalgar Road in New Kingston. It is said that Bissick approached the complainant and relieved him of a black merino and a pair of white short pants.
The court heard that the accused man has been in custody since January 3.
Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey sentenced the accused man to nine months' in prison.
Following the ruling, Bissick did not seem fazed after learning his fate as he was escorted by officers to the court's holding area.
