Two firearms seized in Kingston

Two firearms were seized in separate incidents just hours apart in the Corporate Area on Friday. In the first incident, which occurred about 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of Julian Drive and Waltham Lane, a team of officers on operation searched a premises in the area where a M-16 assault rifle was found in a house. No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.

In the second incident, which occurred about 6:40 p.m. along Mark Lane, lawmen seized one Springfield .40 calibre pistol along with four .40 rounds.

The weapon was seen in a fowl coop.

No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.

Investigations continue.
